Coal Stoves

Although it is getting harder to find locally, Coal is still available as a source of heating. We’ve had some interest from Coal suppliers looking to connect their customers with a modern, coal-fired stove.

Vermont Castings offers a wonderful coal-fired stove. The Vigilant coal stove is a modern, attractive cast-iron stove designed to heat a 2,000 square foot home efficiently with coal. The Vigilant is so efficient, it will burn up to 18 hours on a single load of coal.

If you’ve ever burned coal, you already know that coal is only smelly at startup but once going produces great heat and the most beautiful flames and glow you will ever see. The Vigilant promotes the aesthetics of the coal fire with its large ceramic windows in the double doors just like their famous wood stove models.
